Dr Disrespect Offers Idea For Elden Ring

Over the years, FromSoftware has created some outstanding games that have been highly regarded by gamers. Having said that, it appears that its most recent title, Elden Ring, may be the game studio’s most popular to date. The game introduces an open environment known as the Lands Between, which provides players a great deal of freedom to explore. As more people play Elden Ring, YouTube streamer Dr Disrespect has come up with a way to keep the game relevant in the future.

Dr Disrespect, like many other high-profile video providers, was swept up in the Elden Ring craze after its introduction. The streamer even boasted that he was possibly the best Elden Ring player in the world at one point.

While the Doc has returned to other games, such as Fortnite, he appears to still be obsessed with FromSoftware’s latest release.

Dr Disrespect explored the possibility of an Elden Ring competition during a recent live stream dated April 1 after a viewer in his chat suggested it. The Doc was first sceptical of the notion, claiming that it would be difficult to pull off without “full customization.” However, he grew to like the concept and began to consider the prospects of organizing a tournament centered on speedrunning the game.

He said; “I guess I could see an Elden Ring tournament working.”

Dr. Disrespect then speculated on what an Elden Ring speedrunning event may entail. According to the YouTube streamer, the event would require competitors to achieve a series of goals, such as defeating a number of bosses. He also suggested that keeping the tournament random for the competitors would be one of the keys to its success.

He said; “No one will know what the route is until the day of the tournament.”

Despite these thrilling possibilities, Dr. Disrespect noted that putting on an event like this would be difficult. He acknowledged that picking a winner could be challenging.

Having the winner be the one who achieves the highest level, according to the Doc, may not work because some people may “cheese” the system. If Dr Disrespect or another streamer decides to enter an Elden Ring competition in the following days, only time will tell. It would be interesting to see how many people will watch such an event. Given the popularity of Elden Ring and Dr Disrespect, a speedrunning event is likely to be well-attended. It should be mentioned, however, that the Doc has been very busy recently trying to promote his own AAA game studio, Midnight Society.
