Dr Disrespect Defends Midnight Society Development Process

After his game production studio, Midnight Society, unveiled its ambitious rollout ambitions, several questioned the viability of his strategy. Streaming phenomenon Dr Disrespect has responded to the criticism.

The Doc made a formal announcement about the release of Midnight Society in December 2021, with the intention of releasing a new FPS game to compete with the biggest AAA games on the market. The usage of NFTs in the game, which has only been given the codename Project Moon so far, has already received criticism, but now the development process itself is also under scrutiny.

Destiny 2 developer Joe Blackburn responded to journalist Paul Tassi’s concerns about the viability of their recently announced rollout plans, which include releasing new verticals of content every six weeks and responding to player feedback, by stating that the “cycles seem too fast for meaningful new changes.” He did, however, add that “innovation comes from trying stuff that others think won’t work, so maybe they’ll discover something cool.”

In his reply to the original tweet, Dr. Disrespect made fun of the worries and quipped that he “hopes they [the “gamedev volks”] say it’s ok.” Naturally, because Midnight Society is a game development firm, “gamedev folks” who work there were probably run these designs by at some point.

It has been noted that this is a novel strategy, which most Doc fans would anticipate from him otherwise. It will be interesting to see how this influences the progress of Project Moon. The Two-Time didn’t respond to any additional criticism or queries about the early intentions for the game, but it goes without saying that he has confidence in the work being done at Midnight Society.
