Dr Disrespect Apex Legends Ranked Mode

As the popularity of Apex Legends grows, big-time streamer Dr Disrespect believes the battle royale might benefit from a “Duos ranked” option for those without a third player.

More gamers are playing Apex Legends in 2022 than ever before, thanks to Apex Legends Season 13. Those who like ranked are nearing the end of yet another season, with the Flashpoint LTM receiving some attention alongside the Unshackled Event. NICKMERCS is still enjoying Apex Legends’ Ranked Leagues, and now Dr Disrespect is working his way up the ranks and making a proposal to the developers.

Herschel “Dr Disrespect” Beahm IV recently streamed himself grinding through Apex Legends’ ranked mode, attempting to reach the more prestigious Diamond and Master ranks. While the two-time has made progress, the lack of a third team member is preventing him and colleague content creator Zlaner from making more headway.

Dr. Disrespect has one idea that he claims would be “pretty sick” and would also solve the problem of not being able to recruit a third member, which many in the community experience.

This is for Apex Legends to have a “Duos ranked” option, which he mentions saying; “it would be phenomenal, wouldn’t it? I feel like they need that…Duos ranked.”

Since then, the developers have included a permanent Duos playlist for public lobbies, as well as Arenas and LTMs that change the player count and game regulations. As a result, it’s not completely out of the question that this could happen. However, given how often the designers remind players about how well the three-player squad structure works in Apex Legends, it’s definitely still a long chance.

With that stated, while it may work, they are unlikely to add Duos to ranked because it would disrupt what they believe is the greatest way to play the game, especially in the competitive space.
