Dr Disrespect And Mixer

Dr Disrespect, a popular YouTube streamer, spoke about Mixer’s downfall on January 5th and stated that the streaming platform would still be around if the company had signed him.

The Doc stated; “You know what’s interesting? How did Mixer go down? Like they were literally like Twitch… the same thing, right? And they got Shroud and Ninja over there.” Referring to the streaming competitor’s well-known exclusive livestreamers. Ninja was one of the first streamers to leave Twitch at the height of his career.

Dr Disrespect went on to say that Mixer had approached him with a deal, but that he had declined it. Doc added; “They almost got me, but it just wasn’t enough. I’m gonna go ahead and make a statement. If we went over to Mixer, champs, I’m talking you, Champions Club, and the Two-Time, Mixer would still be around.”

Dr. Disrespect’s popularity is reflected in this bold declaration. Since switching from Twitch to YouTube, the previous Streamer of the Year has quickly ascended to become one of the most popular streamers on the platform. However, audience crossover was a huge difficulty with Mixer. While the company was able to sign famous players like Ninja and Shroud, fans failed to follow them to a new platform in large numbers.

Dr Disrespect stated, “I mean, the Champions Club doesn’t fuck around and the Two-Time certainly doesn’t. What we’re doing on YouTube with no algorithm being pushed forward… we’ve been dominating, man.”

Dr Disrespect, proud of his platform and audience’s devotion, believes that he and the Champions Club could have prospered on any streaming platform.
