Doja Cat Thanks Pokimane

Amala Ratna Zandile Dlamini, known professionally as Doja Cat thanked Imane Anys aka Pokimane for saving her Twitch stream and assisting her with the overwhelming number of messages in chat during her much-anticipated return to the platform.

Since starting her own Twitch channel in February 2021, Doja Cat hasn’t been very active. However, on October 29th, she made an exciting return to the platform, this time to stream some Grand Theft Auto. Thousands of individuals were typing messages in chat, which unfortunately distracts from the enjoyment. It was both distracting and stressful, especially because she was attempting to resolve technological concerns.

Thankfully, Poki was nearby and ready to assist her. She put her chat moderating abilities to good use and helped in the solution of the matter, much to Doja Cat’s delight.

Doja Cat was having trouble keeping up with tens of thousands of viewers in chat at the same time, especially as she was racking her head trying to fix technical problems with lag during her show. Poki, thankfully, had the right solution: she utilized the Slow Mode command to limit how frequently users could send messages, making it impossible for them to send more than one message every 10 seconds.

Doja Cat was ecstatic and appreciative beyond words. She thanked Poki stating; “Everybody say thank you, Pokimane! And then say queen!”

Unfortunately, despite the fact that the chat issue had been resolved, the lag remained an issue. “Is that normal?” Doja Cat, who was becoming increasingly irritated, inquired. “I always see people on Twitch, and their sh*t is perfectly synched.”

Poki was adamant that the issue was with her streaming setup, and he volunteered to replace it. She explained, “It’s because you’re streaming from a toaster or some sh*t. You deserve better than this. I will literally come over and give you a full set-up.”

Doja Cat’s streaming setup is not the only thing Poki is looking to fix. She just started RTS, a new talent management and brand consultancy agency she hopes will “repair the gaming and esports sector.”

Many other streamers have praised her for it, like Dr Disrespect, who called it a “fantastic move.”
