Disguised Toast Changes His Mind

Twitch streamer Jeremy ‘Disguised Toast’ Wang stated why he’s changed his mind about Twitch react content in the middle of several streamers reacting to movies or TV shows.

Disguised Toast has made it apparent that his fellow Twitch streamers are “scared” to take risks since his return to the platform. This was in response to numerous streamers’ lack of risk-taking, which he saw as a result of people primarily watching and reacting to TV shows like MasterChef. In apparent response to this, Disguised Toast decided to spice up the “react meta” by streaming entire Naruto episodes on his Twitch account.

Other well-known streamers, such as xQc and Mizkif, have gone even further, despite the fact that other streamers, such as Sodapoppin and Ludwing, have warned of the dangers of DMCA and what it could mean for their channels. Disguised Toast didn’t understand why Twitch viewers enjoy reaction content at first, but after participating in it, he’s changed his perspective. Toast said why he now understands why Twitch fans do during his January 7th live, comparing how they like watching others play games to “the same for anime.”

Watching anime being live streamed by someone is more entertaining than watching any other streamer or content creator play a game, according to Disguised Toast, since “it’s more fun watching anime with others.”

When he returned to Twitch, he mentioned that he started live broadcasting full Naruto episodes as an “experiment” to test the limits of the DMCA. Instead, it offered him a fresh perspective on the content, and he grew to appreciate it.

He explained; “This whole thing started off as an experiment to see how far I can push this DMCA business. It kinda turned into something I looked forward to which was kinda unexpected. It helped me understand why react content exists and why people enjoy it.”

Although reaction content has been popular on Twitch for some time, streamers like Disguised Toast and others have begun to push the boundaries without consequence. However, implications have begun to emerge, with Pokimane’s likely ban serving as the first domino.
