Destiny Slams NFT Of Being A “Pyramid Scheme”

During a livestream of Steven Bonnel AKA ‘Destiny’ on his Twitch channel, he expressed his thoughts on non-fungible tokens and those who promote them, and had some harsh words for proponents.

Artists and even large corporations have gotten involved in the space, which has been a hot topic of discussion on social media, and NFTs have exploded in popularity over the last year.

Twitch streamers have also been involved, with one streamer earning nearly $6,000 from an NFT video of his bathroom.

Destiny is a veteran streamer who frequently provides commentary on current events as well as gaming streams, took a break from his new Age of Empires IV playthrough to discuss his thoughts on NFTs.

According to him, every single person pushing NFTs is just looking for a bigger “sucker” and that is all there is to it and said that basically, they’re just con artists.

Also he said that there needs to be a macro accounting of human behavior, putting the conversation in a much larger context. People all grow up making fun of certain people, and then grow up and continue to do so.

Destiny is clearly not a fan of the current wave of NFT promotion, particularly from celebrities on the internet. He compares the tokens to MLM companies, which he describes as “pyramid schemes for zoomers,” and claims that the cycle of get-rich-quick schemes has reached our youth.
