In a recent livestream, Steven “Destiny” asserted that Lily “Lilypichu’s” fervent support for Trump was the cause of their argument. He said a few things about why the two stopped speaking, characterizing the Offline TV broadcaster as a staunch Republican.
When the video appeared on LivestreamFails, Lilypichu herself appeared to set the record straight while the streamer’s chat gobbled it up. She said that because of Destiny’s preoccupation with Pokimane, the friendship broke out.
Destiny called out Lilypichu and explained their argument, saying: “Lily used to be really friendly, but the problem, it’s probably more on my side than hers. Where the issue is that when I got banned, from Twitch, from, one of the times? I don’t remember what it was exactly, but, people don’t know this about Lily, but she’s a huge Trump supporter.”
Lily’s demeanor was still a topic of discussion as Destiny painted her as a Trump supporter. He claimed that because of their political differences, she deserted him in his hour of need. “And she took that opportunity, when I got banned, when I was at my worst moment when I needed support the most, to just s**t on me, for my anti-Trump opinions. And she started going off about how like Asian people are unfairly discriminated against in higher education, and how Trump was the only person willing to talk about it, like I was a part of the racist white people on Twitter, that didn’t believe blah blah blah, she’s unreal, in terms of her rabid obsession of being like, pro-Trump.”
Destiny continued by describing how she once supported Andrew Yang. However, the YouTuber claims that she only did it for the money she could purportedly gain from her subscribers. Destiny elaborated further on the subject, saying: “Ironically, she used to be a Yangganger, and then she went to pro-Trump afterwards. The only reason she was pro-Yang too, was because she was like, ‘Oh those fans get those $1,000 need bucks, they’ll all donate to my channel once I hit certain subscriber counts.’ But anyway, I don’t know, that always kind of like, left a bad taste in my mouth.”
Even though it was on the LiveStreamFails subReddit, Lilypichu’s own response came quickly. Lilypichu asserts that Destiny’s fixation with Pokimane, not her political allegiance, is what is driving her outrage. She disclosed that throughout their friendship, Destiny would abruptly stop conversations to send Pokimane a message: “I mean, it wouldn’t be a problem if it happened once, but he would namedrop her every single time we talked. I asked him to play league and valorant, and he would only want to join if Poki was there. Every conversation, he just had to include her somehow.”
In the end, this resulted in the two of them getting into disagreement, and eventually, their friendship dissolved. Destiny reportedly mentioned getting a tattoo of Pokimane, reinforcing his infatuation, according to Lily.
But she expressed sympathy for him and expressed hope that the streamer would overcome his problems. As of this writing, Destiny has not responded to Lily’s remark, although the two sides have very different accounts of how things ended between them.
