Dan Ticktum Blows Chances In F1

During one of Dan Ticktum’s Twitch streams, he said that he believes he blew his chances after he was being dropped by both Red Bull and Williams, and that his chances of making it to Formula One are “pretty much gone.”

The Carlin Formula 2 driver was dropped by Red Bull earlier this season after being let go from the Williams Driver Academy. He had been with the team since 2019. After the renewal of Nicholas Latifi’s contract, the 22-year-old says there wouldn’t have been an F1 drive for him with the Groove outfit next year anyway, but he was unable to provide details on his Williams departure, though he did say there were numerous reasons.

Dan Ticktum, on the other hand, believes he has probably blown his chances after an incident-plagued junior career and admitted to opening his mouth far too many times and saying things he shouldn’t have said is the reason possibly referring to critical comments he made about Latifi on his previous Twitch stream.

He said that his chances in Formula One are pretty much gone and said after finishing third in the feature race at Monza he doesn’t know any other young drivers who get kicked out of two programmes. That may sound harsh, but that is exactly what happened.

He also added that he can still argue whether it was completely justified on both occasions, but there we are and unfortunately, as he previously stated, I am not an article that appears to be highly employable in Formula 1 and said he was changing, and think he’s getting closer to that article every day, but think he have probably blown his chances now, so he’s not sure what he’ll do next year.

According to Dan Ticktum, he’s going to drop, basically, if he can’t find a way to win races and make a lot of money in motorsport, so he’ll see where he end up and hoping for some good opportunities, and that he is confident that he can be very valuable to another F1 team or somewhere across the pond, but still we’ll see.

Ticktum called the end of his relationship with Williams “very disappointing,” but believes he still has a chance to make it to the top tier, despite the fact that it “doesn’t look promising.”

He said that people live in a world and a sport that is very political and quite unjust, and sometimes the best drivers or the most talented don’t make it to the top and explained that whether or not it was his fault, he opened his mouth far too many times and said things he shouldn’t have said, but he is who he is and he don’t quite fit the modern Formula One driver mold.

Alos, he said that it’s a little sad to have parted ways with Williams, but you never know, I’m a very fast driver, so maybe there’ll be a way back into Formula 1 one day and said he thought he could have finished second without the final safety car after a pit strategy gamble paid off in Sunday’s race and that all he have to say is that he wish that the last safety car hadn’t come out and think getting both of them in two laps would have been difficult, but he definitely could have finished second.

Despite trailing leader Oscar Piastri by 45 points, Ticktum is still hoping to win the championship, despite admitting that it has been a “pretty tough season for all sorts of reasons, on and off track.”

He said that it’ll be now tough for and that he will have a have one really good weekend and score more than 40 points, but pretty much back there and the gap to Oscar is now quite wide; three races is plenty of time, but he doesn’t believe it will be enough; however, I’ll never give up; I’ll always do my best.

He said that he doesn’t believe his position in the championship reflects how well myself and the car have performed.

“Yeah, drivers always moan about bad luck, but I tell it like it is, and the truth is, I’ve had a lot of it this year, so that hasn’t helped. But, yeah, we’ll have to wait and see.”
