Cyberpunk 2077 Allowed To Stream Despite Nudity

Twitch Community Guidelines emphasized that “Nudity and explicit sexual content or activities, such as pornography, sexual acts or intercourse, and sexual services, are prohibited”. However, Twitch made an exception for Cyberpunk 2077’s streaming software. “Users can play Cyberpunk 2077 on broadcast provided they naturally progress through things like character customization and don’t spend long periods of time focusing on sexual or nudity content”, a Twitch spokesperson told CNN Business.

The game, created by Polish gaming company CD Projekt Red, comes packed with its fair share of sexual content, which can be switched on in the settings (it plays by default). The game features suggestive content during character creation, such as genital allocation and nudity exposure across various points in the game. This is something Twitch usually doesn’t allow on their platform.

Twitch’s policy also reiterated that; “When interacting with in-game nudity content or sexual content in a permitted game, users may spend only the time required to progress”.
