CodeMiko Claims To Have PTSD

Popular twitch streamer and a Vtuber CodeMiko has recently revealed that she was having nightmares about her twitch bans. The Vtuber community has been steadily on the rise recently. Huge streamers and creators with the likes of Pewdiepie and Pokimane even trying out an avatar for themselves. Twitch streamer CodeMiko is just one example of the VTubing phenomenon as she has now garnered a lot of attention for her entertaining streams in which she lets her audience interact with the brightly-colored avatar that’s been developed with some high-tech gear.

Earlier this year, CodeMiko was banned from twitch after she accidentally showed a screenshot of an email on stream. After two weeks, she was able to return to the platform and when she returned, she opened up about how difficult the ban was for her. She stated during one of her streams; “It hurts because I feel like they see me as a toxic person or something.” Now, during a stream together with gamer wellbeing streamer Dr. K, CodeMiko revealed the impact that has occurred as a result of her bans as she went on to explain that she has PTSD from it; “I have PTSD from it because I dream about it.”

Posttraumatic stress disorder or PTSD is a psychiatric disorder that may occur in people who have experienced or witnessed a traumatic event. Codemiko further explained her most recent dream, in which she accidentally showed a pizza flyer with the owner’s contact information on it. As a result, she received yet another ban in her dream. CodeMiko explains that she was very upset about this in her dream, and it seems obvious that the memory has stuck with her. In response, Dr. K actually recommends that she see a mental health specialist and consider getting evaluated.
