Clix’s Creator Code Suspended

American Fortnite Professional player for NRG and Twitch Streamer Cody Conrod AKA Clix had his ‘Creator Code’ suspended by the video game’s developer and publisher, Epic games because of his controversial Tweet.

Epic Games recently suspended NRG’s esports pro player Clix’s creator code and his name no longer exists and appears on their featured maps. The developer and publisher of the video game is now taking strict action against their players, users and creators.

Clix is now in trouble because of his tweet that quickly went viral on social media platforms. As of the moment, he is known as the most skilled player in the Fortnite community and plays for NRG esports. He is highly popular not only for his skill but also for how he speaks his mind and his edgy jokes.

The Fortnite’s user-base is mostly children and they naturally watch and follow pros like Clix but it seems like the Fortnite pro player has failed to recognize his responsibilities as a creator and influencer.

In a recent tweet of Clix, he talked about a very graphic and NSFW situation, thousands of his fans and followers still read it before he deleted it. The tweet of Clix quickly spread and Epic Games saw it and quickly suspended his creator’s code. He sent several pleas but there was no response from Epic Games on the matter.

Apparently, Epic Games is now following the similar approach of Twitch. The video game’s developer and publisher also recently updated its policy and said that it will now ban creators for their actions that they do outside Twitch/Fortnite.

Many assumed that the main concern of Epic Games is that the majority of the Clix audience compromises young users and players. Even though they might not understand the dark jokes, Epic Game’s concern is young views and followers might end up getting wrongly influenced.

Instead of opposing the suspension, Clix apologized and agreed that he will be more mature during his live streams and that he is looking forward to setting up as a good example for his viewers and will avoid saying things that will wrongly influence young users and harm his image.

Many affirmed the Epic Games’ action but some see it as a hindrance to the independence of its creator.
