CallMeCarson to Make Comeback in September

Minecraft YouTuber and streamer Carson King, widely known as CallmeCarson, has recently released a video detailing his future plans for the first time since he was accused of grooming in January 2021 announcing and confirming his return.

Almost eight months have passed since Minecraft content creator CallMeCarson was accused of grooming his underage fans. Back in January 2021, it came to light that he had told members of the Lunch Club that he’d exchanged inappropriate photos with a 17-year-old girl. At the time, CallMeCarson was 19. When this story blew up, other women began coming forward on social media to share their own experiences with CallMeCarson while they were also in their teens.

Since then, Carson disappeared from the internet altogether. However, a few accidental mishaps along the way led to a brief appearance as back in July, he teased his potential comeback simply writing on his tweet; “give me a little bit longer”.

On August 14th, he made a brief appearance on Twitch streamer Mizkif’s stream announcing that he will return very soon. On August 26th, Carson posted a video on his youtube channel and it was the first one in 2021. In the video with the title, “Moving Forward”, Carson explained that he plans to return to streaming and creating content with 100 percent of the proceeds going to charity for the next year. He said he “is not seeking forgiveness, nor making excuses” for his actions.

He assures his audience that this is not his attempt to “sweep things under the rug”, rather, he states, the goal here is to “turn a negative situation into something positive that can help a lot of people.” He plans on supporting a different charity each month, starting with Games for Love in September. The Year of Charity kicks off with Carson’s return to Twitch on September 1st. This will be his first broadcast back in just over seven months though the streamer admitted he will be avoiding any questions relating to the allegations.
