Developer Blaustoise Resigns From Riot Games

Nathan Blau aka Blaustoise is a twitch streamer and also a Game Developer for Riot games. In the past few years, Blaustoise had been working in the research and development department at Riot Games for both prototype games and existing games, such as League of Legends, TFT, and Valorant.

Recently, he announced via a twitter post on his twitlonger message that he decided to become a free agent and end his five year employment at riot games continuing to make content on his Twitch channel and on Youtube. He wrote on twitter; “Leaving Riot + my next chapter”, with an attachment of his twitlonger message. According to his statement, he has detailed plans on heading forward. He also thanked his friends and colleagues at the company and the communities around the game titles he has worked on.

He wrote; “The blend of game dev + streamer is an authentic and unique direction for me, and I want to pursue it to the fullest, There are smaller studios that I may look for full-time dev opportunities at, but for now I want to take what I’ve learned at Riot and PlayStation and help a new set of games, products, and players.”
