Black Gaming Creator Program Launched By Facebook

Facebook Gaming has announced the Black Gaming Developer’s initiative, with $10 million in support for over the next two years. The said initiative will help the Black Gaming community and equip their next generation of developers with the funding and tools to highlight their talent on the app and a path to become a partnered gaming developer with the site.

They were the ones who supported the Black Gaming Community after what happened last summer, #BlackLivesMatter protests, and the shooting of George Floyd by a Minneapolis police officer. Mr. KingRichard is a participant in it, and He is the founder of Facebook Gaming, who said growing up as a young streamer is difficult. He also stated that family, community, and Facebook support is critical.

The Creators of this software can engage in daily consultation sessions with Facebook product teams and have access to a private Facebook Community with Facebook Gaming members. They access a special Gaming Concierge Service and in-person gaming activities. Facebook will also host bi-monthly mentoring and training summits showcasing existing Black Gaming Developers.

They released the 200 million dollar pledge. This is part of a larger 1.1 billion dollar investment into Black neighborhoods in the US. They followed Facebook and Instagram footsteps to pledge 25 million dollars to the Black artists to help serve the Black community through a wider Artist initiative, We the Culture.
