BetterTv Removes Emote ZULUL

Better Twitch TV is a Twitch add-on which enhances twitch’s new features and its website. Recently, they removed and took down their emote called ZULUL because of claims of racism. Viewers and users of its app pointed out the emotes resemblance with a black face.

ZULUL is a twitch emote that shows dark skin. The said emote was said to be the alternate of the popular emote called LUL that portrays TotalBiscuit. The look of the ZULUL emote showing dark skin didn’t sit right with the masses and many are against it.

The emote was immediately removed and soon replaced by a new emote and version called ‘Pastor LuL’.

The new emote was welcomed by everyone and relieved that the previous ZULUL emote was removed.
