Asmongold Voices Preference for YouTube Chat Culture

Asmongold, a well-known streamer who frequently broadcasts on both Twitch and YouTube, recently acknowledged how much he prefers the chat environment on YouTube over that on Twitch.

Twitch and YouTube are frequently contrasted in numerous ways even though they are two of the most popular streaming platforms for content creators to share their work with their fans. Chat culture is without a doubt one of the most important factors when contrasting Twitch vs YouTube as streaming platforms. For those who don’t know, Asmongold is a well-known content producer well known for his World of Warcraft work. Asmongold, who boasts a sizable following of more than 3.4 million Twitch followers and 1.7 million YouTube subscribers, has developed a passionate fanbase that anxiously follows his streams to interact with his gameplay, commentary, and gaming-related topics.

Asmongold is renowned within the game industry for being frank and amusing, and for frequently expressing his opinions on controversial topics.

Asmongold voiced his displeasure with Twitch’s repetitious and predictable chat culture during an appearance on the Steak and Eggs podcast. He made a point of highlighting how Twitch users repeatedly reuse the same jokes and memes, which he finds boring and tedious. He also condemned the practice of people reacting to specific phrases with certain emotes when playing games like Marco Polo.

Asmongold said that he would rather stream on YouTube due of the excessive number of “weird” users on Twitch. He compares the advantages of controlling viewers on Twitch to controlling a cat, yet he still prefers to stream on YouTube. Emiru and Tectone, two other OTK members, on the other hand, said they preferred Twitch to YouTube.

Asmongold may prefer YouTube chat culture to Twitch for a variety of reasons, including his personal preferences and the kind of material he streams. Asmongold, for instance, primarily broadcasts World of Warcraft, a game that necessitates intense focus and concentration. He can interact with his audience without being overtaken by faster-moving remarks in a slower-paced chat environment, which may be more suitable for this kind of content. Asmongold makes some valid points concerning Twitch chat culture, and the network has come under fire for its history of chat hate raids.

A recent instance of this happened when a Hogwarts Legacy streamer cried because of harassment in the Twitch chat.
