Asmongold Updates His Fans

Twitch star Asmongold has opened out about his situation during his unexpected streaming sabbatical and admitted that his life has been getting out of control lately.

However, he claimed that the streamer has taken control of the situation and will return soon.

Since July 16th, the seasoned MMO player has not gone live. Fans believed there might be more going on as the days went by despite his claim that he needed a vacation to adjust his sleep schedule. The star’s Twitch viewers were correct, it turns out. Asmongold wrote in a tweet on July 25 saying; “My life has been spiraling out of control for the better part of a year now. For the first time, I’m taking steps to reign it back in.”

In the previous year, he had to deal with a lot, including the tragic death of his mother in October 2021, battles with burnout, and criticism for his decision to stream fewer games. It’s unclear if any of these issues, or all of them, together with Asmongold’s difficulty falling asleep, have been making him feel down. The well-known Twitch streamer, however, claims that he is now ready to resume his daily work and is at last standing on his own two feet. 

He said much to the relief of his 3.3 million Twitch followers; “Streams will return ASAP. I’m not over it or taking a break. Thank you to everyone who reached out. For the first time in a long time, I’m okay.”

More than 20,000 people liked the tweet, and 1,000 more, including fellow OTK members Matthew “Mizkif” Rinaudo and Rich Campbell, posted comments expressing their compassion and support. Comparatively speaking, the break hasn’t been as long. But he’s become so well-known on Twitch that even a two-week hiatus from streaming leaves a hole that cannot be filled. A comeback date for Asmongold is still up in the air. 

Nevertheless, it’s anticipated that it will happen later this week, and based on a number of Asmongold tweets from the middle of the break, he intends to play Final Fantasy XIV Online.
