Asmongold Is Unbanned From WoW

Unexpectedly, Twitch star Zack “Asmongold” announced that he had his World of Warcraft account suspended for a month after being accused of engaging in real money transactions (RMT).

The Twitch streamer thoroughly discussed the scenario in a 20-minute video that he posted to his own YouTube channel under the headline “Blizzard Banned Me From WoW.” He expressed excitement in the video for meeting up with his close friend to play the multiplayer game. He was informed that Blizzard Entertainment had “banned or suspended” his account for failing to abide by the company’s Code of Conduct when he attempted to get into the game.

Asmongold discovered that he may have already been unbanned from the game a few hours later while reading his subreddit. He laughed out loud on stream when the month-long suspension on his World of Warcraft account was quickly lifted. Zack recently posted a video to YouTube in which he discussed the unexpected one-month ban that Blizzard Entertainment imposed on his World of Warcraft account.

Asmongold opened the video by criticizing the American game developers while ironically thanking them and said that it would make for “great clickbait” because they had unintentionally banned him from the game.

The co-founder of The One True King (OTK) read aloud the email from Blizzard Entertainment that he had received: “I’m going to read the email, ‘Blizzard Entertainment, account action notification. Suspended until September 13. This account has been suspended because it was advertising or actively participating in the purchase or sale of in-game PvE or PvP achievements, progression, or rewards in exchange for real money currency.'”

As Zack read the email in its entirety, he came to the realization that the game creators might delete some of his account’s rare horses and achievements. He stated: “‘Along with this suspension, we may remove currencies, inventory…’, wait, I’m going to lose my Gladiator mount! Wait, wait a second! Remove curriences, inventory, or ranking qualifications… wait, are you kidding me? Oh! That took me hours! I didn’t even read that part! Are you f***ing kidding me!”

Blizzard Entertainment concluded the official email by stating that the support team will not reverse the punishment and that they might not react to appeals. Asmongold was browsing his subreddit two hours after disclosing the RMT-related suspension when a message on his Battle.net account appeared. The streamer instantly questioned whether his game ban had been lifted.

Asmongold chuckled when he noticed that Blizzard Entertainment had lifted his account’s one-month suspension. The streamer wanted to ensure that his prestigious achievements, mounts, and titles were still present in-game and said: “Okay, let me just look right now. I still have my mount. Yep, still have all my mounts. All the Gladiator mounts, ratings are not reset. I mean, I wish they were. It’s embarrassing to look at. So, I wasn’t… I was banned unjustly, and I’ve been unbanned! Wow!”
