Asmongold Gives Opinion About Minx Oxy Drama

Twitch streamer Asmongold has stated that everyone involved in the bizarre drama that occurred following a game at OTK’s ‘Friendsgiving’ livestream event, including Esfand, Minx, and Malena, was “in the wrong” in some capacity.

On November 21st, the OTK crew and a handful of other notable streamers gathered for the Chipotle-sponsored ‘Friendsgiving’ event. Envy member Minx, who was dressed as the turkey for one of the games, was offered alcohol by fellow streamer Malena, but Esfand interfered, alleging that Minx “can’t” consume alcohol owing to medication she was taking. Fans defended Esfand’s calls to prevent a potential medical concern after the video went viral on Reddit, but as the outrage rose, Minx responded on Twitter, saying that the whole thing was a joke.

Minx claimed that she was taking OxyCodone, a painkiller, as an ongoing joke, and that Malena was aware of the prank. Minx said on Twitter; “I’ve made it obvious that I am taking a bit.” However, it was evident from Esfand’s reaction and the reactions of others at the party that not everyone realized it was a prank, as Asmongold has confirmed. 

Asmon added on his stream that he had later asked Minx if the incident was real or not out of concern. He also claims that “everyone was wrong” for becoming involved, including Esfand. He said; “I think [Esfand] was [in the wrong]. I think all three of them were in the wrong. I think Minx was in the wrong for trying to go with the joke, Malena was in the wrong for going along with it. Esfand was in the wrong for inserting himself into it, without really knowing what’s going on. I think that they were all in the wrong.”

Asmongold continued, “The fact is, Minx is an adult, and she has the agency to make decisions for herself. And it’s not up to Esfand, it has nothing to do with him. I understand that he thinks that he’s helping, but it’s not his decision. It’s not his choice, and he doesn’t get to make that decision for her.”

Some fans claim that because the party was held at Esfand’s home, he felt obligated to his guests because he didn’t realize Minx wasn’t on the medication. At the time of this writing, Esfand has not responded to the incident.
