Asmongold Breaks His Personal Record

On a February 11th stream, popular Twitch streamer Asmongold attracted over 367,000 viewers, breaking his previous concurrent viewing record set only three days before.

Following a nearly four-month break from his main stream, the MMO veteran has returned with a slew of Lost Ark streams that have drawn in record crowds. Asmongold drew over 285,000 viewers when he returned from his secondary stream, Zackrawr. According to Twitch Tracker, Asmongold had an average of 194,000 viewers and almost 1.7 million hours viewed over his nine-hour live show.

Just a few days later, Asmongold reached a new high of 367,000 concurrent viewers while streaming the same game. Asmongold saw his record-breaking view count while waiting for Lost Ark to load in after a server start delay. “Did we reach 300,000 viewers?” “That’s a lot of fucking people,” the MMO streamer remarked casually, as he reminded his enormous audience to subscribe and follow him (with Twitch Prime). Asmongold went so far as to say that the sheer quantity of subscribers to his channel was slowing down his computer.

Asmongold’s remarkable viewership over the last four days is possibly one of Twitch’s most notable streamer comebacks. In his frequent streams on his alternate account, the Twitch star and OTK member discussed both his problems with maintaining strong mental health and the obligations of operating a new esports business. The restoration of Asmongold helped in the ascension of Lost Ark to the top of Twitch’s category list. The MMO was only recently released in the United States. While the MMO has amassed an incredible 31 million hours of play time on its own, Asmongold has undoubtedly accounted for a major percentage of that time.
