AriGameplays’ Return

AriGameplays, a Mexican streamer, has returned to Twitch after a brief hiatus and has amassed nearly half a million followers in just a few weeks.

Previously, being banned from Twitch might mean the end of a streamer’s career. There have been alternative platforms to pivot to in the past few years, but things have changed. Many streamers have deliberately left Twitch in favor of YouTube and Facebook, but others are doing so because of Twitch’s punishment.

AriGameplays, a popular Mexican streamer, was banned from Twitch in late 2019, so she went to nonolive to stream before going to Facebook Gaming. But now, she has recently returned to Twitch and is having a lot of success. Over 90,000 viewers turned in to see the streamer’s inaugural stream back on September 10, and while viewership has gone off a bit since then, she’s still averaging a healthy portion of viewers.

But it’s in the follower game that she’s made the most progress. AriGameplays has gained about 500,000 new followers since her return, bringing her total to slightly over 2.2 million.

Only Spanish star Ibai has gained more followers than her in September, according to SullyGnome’s statistics, but it’s only a few thousand more, which is quite a feat considering she’s only been back since September 10th.

AriGameplays has been streaming consistently since returning to Twitch, and her popularity is only expected to rise. When it comes to followers, the Mexican is still a long way behind the likes of Pokimane, but 2.2 million isn’t bad.
