Another Ban From Twitch

Neymar da Silva Santos Júnior well known as Neymar, is a Brazilian professional footballer who plays as a forward for Ligue 1 club Paris Saint-Germain and the Brazilian national team. He is widely considered to be one of the best players in the world. He is also a popular Counter-Strike: Global Offensive streamer on the Twitch gaming platform. Neymar has been banned from Twitch for the first time, making him the second star that has been banned from the platform in the past few weeks.

While there is not yet a clear reason as to why he got banned, some are speculating that it was because he accidentally leaked the phone number of his fellow football player Richarlison. Richarlison plays as forward for Premier League club Everton and the Brazilian national team. Furthermore, it is against Twitch’s Community Guidelines and Terms of Service to put out other people’s personal information, like addresses and phone numbers. It can certainly be an offense that would result in a suspension or permanent ban. It happened back on October 18th during a live broadcast wherein Neymar showed to his viewers his phone while calling his teammate Richarlison revealing his teammate’s number on the camera.

It happened several weeks ago, but the fact that he left the VOD on his Twitch channel instead of deleting it, may have been the cause of the punishment. Richarlison jokingly tweeted about the situation, acting unamused at the fact that Neymar’s gaffe had resulted in him receiving more than 10 thousand messages in five minutes.
