Animators Use Twitch To Teach And Mentor

Twitch is now the world’s leading live streaming platform for gamers and some celebrities, brands and others. Many find the platform accessible and use it as their way to communicate with their fans and followers. Even the animation artists find the platform convenient. They share their knowledge and their work and even stream instructional and tutorial-style content about their profession.

These Animators are now using the platform to showcase their work and live stream on how they are doing it. Most of them have stated a goal that they want to educate and mentor others who are curious about the animated world and say that they are “paying it forward”. They also want to inspire other users and show them how animation is produced.

The head of community and creator marketing at Twitch, Erin Wayne says that; “Twitch is such a unique place to find and watch content, largely because our community consists of creators across many different skill sets and with incredible talent they bring to the service. This year, we’ve seen huge growth in the arts community with creatives coming here not just to share their crafts, but also to learn alongside their viewers and fellow streamers. It’s been especially inspiring to see the interest in animation gaining momentum and we’re excited to see this community grow as more passionate animators and illustrators find a home on Twitch.”

Six animators who are actively publishing their work piece and shares their knowledge when it comes to being an animator are Chluaid with 14.4K followers, Shawn1ee with 856 followers, SirWadeFX with 11.4K followers, CGMation with 1.1K followers, The_Broken_Tangent with 1.4K followers and FineSpline with 2.5K followers.
