Alinity Speaks Out About Sexual Content on Twitch

Twitch streamer Natalia Mogollon recently shared her opinion on the current ASMR meta stating that she believes that the sexual content on twitch won’t be stopping anytime soon despite twitch banning Amouranth and indiefoxx for three days after their controversial ASMR streams. The platform is currently facing quite a lot of controversy as some of their streamers were accused of abusing the platform to promote sexualized content.

Earlier this year, the hot tub meta has become a trend but with the new category, it has gone down but it has now been replaced by the ASMR earlicking meta. Despite creating a new category for the hot tub streamers, many still believe this wasn’t enough to end the sexual content and just enticed streamers to find something new. Now that the ASMR meta has become a hot topic in the community, twitch has taken action as they banned Amouranth and indiefoxx for doing these kinds of streams.

However, twitch streamer Alinity was not still convinced that this will do enough to deter sexual content in the slightest. Alinity posted a series of tweets recently stating that the punishment of a 3 day ban for sexual content and behavior just isn’t enough and the bans may draw more attention to those broadcasts. She wrote: “It’s just a nice vacation. Free promo during your break and even more promo when you are back.”

Alinity also clarified that she was not against this type of content being on Twitch to begin with as she partaken in hot tub streams herself. However, she finds Twitch’s lack of a stance and limited transparency certainly troublesome. She said; “Listen, I’m not saying whether I am in favor or against that content being on the site. What I am saying is that they need to decide whether or not they want the content on Twitch, and be FIRM against it. 3 DMCAS is a perma ban, but 3 sexual violations isn’t? Makes no sense.”
