Adin Ross Parodies ‘The Decision’

Adin Ross, a well-known Twitch streamer, announced his switch to Kick in a parody of LeBron James’ “The Decision” TV special.

In ESPN’s “The Decision,” LeBron James famously changed the direction of his career by saying, “I’m gonna take my talents to South Beach” That was an action by a sports star that was unparalleled at the time, and it immediately infuriated fans and commentators who couldn’t help but wonder why James and ESPN dragged out the highly anticipated decision for more than an hour.

Memes and references to the special are still commonplace more than ten years later. Thankfully, Adin Ross’ homage to “The Decision” is time-efficient. Ross has formally switched from Twitch to Kick, which means the creator will now create content for the rival streaming service.

The streamer went all out for the news as well, creating a humorous one-minute video that mimicked LeBron’s “The Decision” Yet there’s no hour-long build-up to Adin Ross’ personal choice. The well-known streamer is repeatedly interrupted before he can explain his future plans. Incidentally, Adin Ross started broadcasting on Kick earlier this month, moving his skills to the new site in response to repeated Twitch ban threats.

On February 12, when his first stream went live, more over 80,000 people watched his Super Bowl 57-focused show. Ross and Kick are the first significant streamers to try the platform, so who knows what the future will bring? At the very least, it appears that intriguing times are coming, especially for those who are closely following the developing rivalry between Twitch and Kick.
