Adept Breaks Silence

The Twitch star xQc had a difficult year in 2021 because he had to split up with his longtime partner, Adept.

The Twitch couple, though, was a total fan favorite while they were together. Adept, however, was not first introduced as xQc’s girlfriend, but rather as his roommate.

Felix Lengyel spent a considerable amount of time living with Adept, a fellow Twitch streamer. Fans began to speculate that the two were dating, but they denied the accusations and continued to refer to each other as roommates. However, xQc approached her from behind during a GTA Online live stream on Adept’s channel, kissed her forehead, and then hugged her. As soon as xQc left the room, supporters started singing “Just Roommates” in the conversation.

Later, Adept confirmed they were more than “Just Roommates” on her Twitter account. Additionally, she formally announced their relationship during a Q&A session on a subsequent stream.

As previously established, the Twitch duo first identified as roommates rather than a couple. Fans, however, were curious as to why they claimed to be roommates rather than a relationship. In a recent Overwatch 2 stream, Adept stated that they didn’t want to make her private life public. 

Adept said; “As a new couple, what do you do other than say you live together? When you don’t want people all up in your personal life. So we say we live together, and then eventually it was like my roommate instead of being my boyfriend, my girlfriend, and then chat is responsible for just roommates.” 

She continued by saying that she had rules. They were housemates, but not “just roommates,” in their eyes. Adept continued; “If I see you tell some that we are just roommates, we will no longer be roommates or boyfriend and girlfriend.”

She also disclosed that xQc initially had no interest in dating. Adept, however, preferred a committed relationship because she doesn’t “mess with guys.” 

During an Apex Legend live stream in August 2021, Twitch star xQc announced their split. He disclosed that they broke up after a fight. They both kept their separation’s real cause a secret, though. Adept reportedly left xQc because he might be violent with her, according to the fans. Adept subsequently revealed on Twitter, however, that he was not violent, and their breakup was due to other factors.
