AbleGamers Raises $1,000,000 For Disabled Games

AbleGamers COO raised $1,000,000 for disabled gamers and managed to raise $300,000 in the first week alone.

The COO of AbleGamers Charity, Steven Spohn recently shared the exciting news that AbleGamers achieved their goal of $1,000,000 this week in their celebration of the organization’s one-year anniversary. The charity’s goal “SpawnTogether” is their initiative to ensure that disable gamers are supported, seen, and celebrated within the gaming community and these goal was set by Steven Spohn to ensure the organization ‘AbleGamers’ can continue to help less-abled gamers around the world and for them to receive consultation and much-need equipments into the future.

Steven Spohn announced the initiative “SpawnTogether “ last year in September and it was a personal milestone for him. After he announced it, he managed to raise $300,000 in the first week alone and the following 11 months, different support from fundraising events, streamers, celebrity, and influencers helped to raise awareness such asBrie Larson and Ryan Reynolds. Since then, they reached their goal of $1,000,000.

Twitch announced last November that they will match donations for streamers who participated in the fundraiser activities of the charity organization, which helped the goald to push more. Soon after, Media Company Red Ventures also donated to the cause with an amount of $115,000.

Throughout the year, many popular personalities and brands helped to support the said initiative to make the goal possible, these includes Twitch streamers faster, lilsimsie, and negaoryx. Actress and streamers, What’s Good Games, and FeliciaDay. Media company, Logitech G, Kinda Funny, Alanah Pearce, The Escapist, and many more.

Steven Spohn said upon reaching the goal saying that he is absolutely floored by the outpouring love and support from everyone and said that when he set out this journey, he just thought the he will only raise a few thousands dollars and admit that he massively underestimate the support of the community to the things that matter to him the most. He then said that he finally at the point where hebelive that everyone should be able to play.

He also shared how grateful he is and how much he learned from the community. He said that he saw people believing in the mission of AbleGamers and the importance of supporting gamers with less-abilities and as such, he decided to turn the said initiative into an annual event and try to raise $1,000,000 every year. He said that he will not be going to do this alone and that he will bring some of his most trusted friends who can help him to keep the initiative going even after SMA gets to him. He said when the time came, he didn’t want people to mourn and be sad for his loss and wanted them to celebrate and keep on supporting people with disabilities in the next years.

According to Spohn, the $1,000,000 raised from the initiative will surely help a lot of people around the world and they estimate over 56 million people in AMerica alone. They will give them assistive equipment to help them put an end to their isolation especially in this time of pandemic. He said that he hopes that one day, he will be able to help all people who are truly in need through the power of AbleGamers experts and to those people who help and make the charity successful through counseling, development, and research.
