After several years of streaming, YouTube sensation Rachell “Valkyrae” Hofstetter has decided on a name for her fans.
The achievement of Rachell ‘Valkyrae’ Hofstetter’s followers should not be dismissed. The streaming king has gathered a devoted legion of fans with more than 3.70 million YouTube subscribers and 2.9 million Twitter followers. While celebrities like Lady Gaga and Logan Paul have given their supporters the names “Little Monsters” or “Logangsters,” Valkyrae has yet to do so. The name of her fandom came up during Valkyrae’s August 6 YouTube stream. In a spark of joy, the time had finally come to decide on something permanent, after having tested the waters with various initial thoughts over the years.
Valkyrae initially responded to a comment on her stream saying; “we’re the ‘Raebies’ now?”
Despite apprehensive to land a name, the streamer followed the question by saying “yeah, at this point it only makes sense. Yeah, you know what! We are the ‘Raebies’, guys I have a confirmed community name after seven years! after seven year it is official, we are now officially the ‘Raebies’!”
Even though admirers continued to show their interest in the name, Valkyrae asserted that she had “always rejected” it.
Her fellow streamers Natsumiii and Sykkuno poked fun at her moniker choice by asking, “Your community like being called ‘Raebies’?” Valkyrae jokingly said, “we’re gonna infect sh*t and raid with our disease!”
As the “Raebies” unite for the future of her streaming escapades, Valkyrae supporters can feel secure for the time being. It will be fascinating to see if the moniker sticks, though.
The YouTuber’s role as a “icon” of the popular multiplayer game Among Us has been hailed by the “Raebies” as she marked a crucial achievement.
