xQc’s Take On Fellow Streamers Sending Him Merch

The well-known Twitch streamer xQc slammed other content producers who sent him free samples of their wares, pleaded with them to stop, and even criticized supporters who do buy streamer merchandise.

For content creators on Twitch and YouTube, merchandise is a popular way to grow their brands and add new sources of income. Numerous streamers have invested in creating gear for fans and other creators to wear, from Mogul Merch to OTK. Despite being a widely accepted tendency in the streaming industry, xQc has objected to other creators sending him samples. The French-Canadian streamer added that although other well-known content creators frequently send him gear samples, he never wears them on stream because he abhors giving out free advertising. XQc criticized the merchandise’s quality and lamented the fact that fans really buy the apparel.

xQc said; “You should see the dog shit merch I receive from other creators. I get merch from all the other streamers. They give me samples to try on and they are dog shit. It is so fucking dog shit. Holy fuck, I feel bad for people who dish out their real life money for this garbage. I don’t even know man.”

xQc’s chat instantly demanded to know who he was specifically referring to after he gave such a critical evaluation of streamer merchandise. Despite saying he didn’t want to single anyone out explicitly, xQc acknowledged that at least 15 streams, with an average of between 7,000 and 10,000 viewers, had brought him merch samples.

xQc has made it obvious that he no longer wants to receive any additional merchandise from other content creators, despite the fact that it is completely free.
