xQc Speaks About Pokimane Sniffing Joke

Felix “xQc” Lengyel, a popular Twitch streamer, claimed he regrets making the “weird” joke about pretending to sniff Imane “Pokimane” Anys’ chair as she moved away from the keyboard.

On September 30th, the incident took place during his stream. When xQc accessed Pokimane’s Twitch feed, all he saw was a chair that was empty. Although he was initially hesitant, he eventually “obliged” by dragging his webcam overlay beneath the chair and pretending to sniff it when viewers pleaded with him to do so. 

The video circulated on social media for a few days before returning to xQc on October 4th. The French-Canadian streamer admitted after seeing it that he had second thoughts and wished he could take it all back. 

xQc said; “I looked off-stream at the sniffing chair joke. Guys, I take it back. Chat, that was kind of fucked. It was pretty weird. I was on no sleep. I’m not going to lie to you, chat. It was pretty weird.”

xQc warned viewers not to imitate his actions out of concern that he might have produced a horde of creepy chair-sniffing goblins. “Don’t act in the same way, talk. That seemed a little strange. Since he knows Pokimane “kind of well” and they both know it’s a joke, xQc claimed it “kind of passes” even if he afterwards regretted doing it. But for others, it wouldn’t be the same. 

Pokimane reacted to the Twitch video with an odd blend of laughter and disgust before making fun of xQc by pointing out how much his nostrils flared. She didn’t appear to be offended, so. 

However, she has previously voiced worries about interacting with creeps in her chat who engage in all sorts of bizarre behavior, such as obtaining a tattoo of her face on their arm.
