xQc Overwatch 2 Experience

Felix “xQc” talked about the upcoming Overwatch 2 iteration of Blizzard’s popular hero-based first-person shooter.

Since Blizzard’s formal reveal at BlizzCon 2019, Overwatch 2 has been a major topic of conversation. Until lately, there had been no news or updates on the game. Felix provided some insights about Overwatch 2 during the first moments of his daily broadcast on a recent livestream. He was hesitant to reveal the information before the game’s embargo was removed. The former Overwatch pro dropped a minor indication about the next game when he said: “Surprisingly, Doomfist is pretty easy.”

On April 22, the Canadian content creator presented a livestream. During the early stages of his stream, several of his viewers were curious as to what the streamer thought of Overwatch 2. He was hesitant to discuss it since he believed the game’s embargo had not been lifted. He claims that: “Yeah, I am not allowed to talk about Overwatch 2. You should get some news soon, though.”

Members of the streamer’s chat area pressed him to talk about the game. The NDA for the game’s announcement had been lifted, according to a handful of them. xQc stated that it was not the NDA that prevented him from discussing the game, but rather a question of respect for the game’s developers: “Well, this is just a… if it’s not the NDA, it’s a matter of respect then. I mean, I spoke with him today.”

He then went on to say something about the game’s beta testing: “I don’t want to spoil the setup of the beta, but I think there’s going to be drops or whatever and people know about this, right? It’s going to be dropped. So, we have the first slot. So, we are going to be there as earliest as possible.”

He did give away some information about the game by describing how one of the modified characters felt in the game. Doomfist has gotten easier to play, according to him, and he revealed: “He (Doomfist) is way less umm… crazy or harder than he used to. He’s pretty easy to play. You’re just kind of like, slamming your head into the walls back and forth as much as you can, pretty much.” 

He also mentioned a few things about McCree (now Cassidy): “McCree (now Cassidy) is just f***ing dogs**t.” 

For a few more minutes, he talked about Overwatch 2 and its impending content.
