xQc is Called a Moron!

One of the most popular Twitch streamers today, Felix Lengyel aka xQc recently was called out for stream sniping during the Twitch Rivals tournament during Twitch’s virtual convention GlitchCon. Stream sniping is when players see a streamer playing an online game and they then try to queue at the same time to match into their game. During the tournament, xQc together with his team were looking to jeopardize a tie-breaking game including team DrLupo but then xQc and his team proceeded to stream snipe their opponents, eliminating DrLupo’s team from the game.

As a result of this, Shroud and tyler1 voiced out their grievances stating that xQc is a moron for doing that. Shroud stated that all of his respect for xQc was literally gone, raising the point that due to the tournament boasting a cash prize, xQc had broken the terms of service and could potentially be banned for his actions. tyler1 stated that he hopes xQc does not receive a ban, suggesting that he should instead receive a stern warning.

There is currently no action being taken regarding what happened. xQc posted out on twitter an apology, wherein he admitted that he did in fact snipe, thinking that it would be funny. He took accountability for his actions and stated that it was malicious, rather than hilarious, as he posted; “Stop defending my everywhere for no reason. We got into the final game with @DrLupo and @shroud ‘s team. We shouldn’t have done it and it was wrong. I’m sorry for my actions. I thought it would be funny. It did not change the outcome but it was still malicious. Sorry”.
