xQc Gambling Losses Are Revealed

Imane ‘Pokimane’ Anys and Felix ‘xQc’ Lengyel have finally delivered on their promised podcast, diving into themes from their personal lives. xQc revealed an incredible gambling loss for the previous month in the first episode, openly admitting to ‘addiction.’

Following a string of errors, xQc and Pokimane teamed up on Poki’s stream for a four-hour chat on May 1. During this talk, xQc revealed that he lost an astounding $1.85 million when gambling in April. The two launched in on the gambling theme that is now sweeping Twitch, tearing apart recent news that Felix has admitted he has major gambling issues.

Pokimane began with a seemingly simple question saying; “Would you have as much fun gambling if you were doing it off-stream as on stream?”

This prompted xQc to state unequivocally how he feels about gambling responding; “Yeah, I’m addicted… I gamble every day.”

After stating how frequently he gambles, xQc went on to divulge the full extent of his wagering. “I lost 1.85 mil last month,” he said.

The two got into an argument regarding gambling ethics, particularly in the public stream environment. Pokimane directly derided xQc’s choices, arguing: “When you stream yourself gambling, you’re negatively impacting your viewers.” Continuing her train of thought, Poki brought a heavier distinction between gambling and taking money for advertising gambling to viewers. “When it comes to taking gambling sponsorships that’s literally just your viewer’s money.”

xQc said, making it plain that he wasn’t defending the moral implications of gambling on or off-stream; “It’s a bad thing, I’m not against it. I think you shouldn’t be drinking excessively, and you shouldn’t be taking alcohol sponsors on stream, I think it’s bad. I still do it.”

xQc brought his attention to the general ideas of how streamers profit off of their viewers by saying: “It’s like a spectrum of bad. It’s like taking a sponsorship for a game you know is complete asscrack. You know it’s bad but you still do it.”

“Do you still do gambling sponsorships?” Poki inquired, returning to Felix’s moral stance.

“I just gamble off-stream,” Lengyel said, clarifying that he doesn’t take gambling sponsorships.
