xQc Calls Out Spanish Streamer Group

After content creators from those regions petitioned to forfeit from the $100,000 Twitch Rivals event, popular Twitch streamer xQc took digs at the Spanish and Latin American streaming community.

The two-day Rust Team Battle event on Twitch Rival brought together a large number of streams, pitting popular North American content creators against popular Spanish and LATAM streamers. Points are earned through gathering resources, cash, and dog tags. However, when some Spanish broadcasters attacked the event, citing a “lack of respect” and threatening to forfeit the event only one day in, problems swiftly developed.

During a livestream on April 15, xQc was blunt in his view of the situation.

He stated; “They could literally log in during their prime time when we are all asleep, grind for materials and loot, and prepare a plan. They could literally raid our base in the last three hours and get free $100,000.”

The French-Canadian streamer slammed his opponent’s decision to contact Twitch Rivals admins and complain publicly on many occasions. He added; “But instead they go to Twitter, cry to the admins, cry in chat, cry on stream, and make little meetings about quitting like bitches. Who the fuck raised these suckers? Absolute soy boys.”

xQc was a significant figure in both North America’s victory and the unexpected international Twitch confrontation with Spain. He was present for virtually the whole event. Given the level of controversy surrounding this event, Twitch Rivals may not return to Rust for some time.
