WillNeff Is Trolled By xQc’s Fans

When WillNeff, a 100 Thieves Twitch streamer, loaded on Felix ‘xQc’ Lengyel’s stream to establish a point regarding streamers’ communities, he was mercilessly clowned by the Canadian star’s chat.

With Ludwig’s unexpected departure from Twitch to YouTube, the differences between the two streaming platforms, as well as this surprising move, became a hot subject among streamers. Money, of course, plays a significant role. In reality, according to MoistCr1tikal, Twitch often only gives about 10% of what YouTube and Facebook do.

Many Twitch streamers and fans argue that Twitch has a stronger ‘community’ than YouTube – a claim Will set out to disprove.

Will explained to his Twitch viewers on November 29th that after you reach a certain level of Twitch popularity and viewership, it becomes more difficult to actually develop a ‘community’ on the platform. He used the example of xQc, who has so many viewers that you can’t keep up with what’s going on in chat. To demonstrate his argument, he walked into xQc’s chat room and said hello and inquired about people’s lives, only to be greeted by someone yelling “f**k you” right on cue.

Will broke out laughing, describing the perfectly placed remark as “beautiful” and “actually hilarious.” He goes on to claim that he adores xQc, but that he was merely attempting to demonstrate that the notion that his community “wouldn’t survive on YouTube is ludicrous.”

The current debate between YouTube and Twitch isn’t going away anytime soon, but WillNeff doesn’t believe a lack of community is a legitimate concern.
