Will Amouranth Quit Twitch?

Popular twitch streamer Kaitlyn Siragusa aka Amouranth, one of the most popular hot tub streamer, has opened up about considering twitch streaming altogether after being harassed because of her controversial streams. ASMR and hot tub streams have become two of the most popular streaming categories on Twitch lately, however, they have also become very controversial topics among streamers and viewers on the platform.

Twitch streamer Amouranth was one of the biggest streamers doing the hot tub streams and now the controversial ASMR streams. She recently got banned from the platform for three days because of her ASMR ‘earlicking’ streams. Since then, AMouranth has been very vocal about the criticism that she has been receiving during her latest twitch ban.

Now, she went on to reveal that she has been receiving lots of hostility and harassment from viewers behind the scenes which resulted in her considering quitting the platform altogether. In an interview with Polygon, Amouranth explained that all jobs have stressors, and that fielding criticism from fans is just part of being a streamer. Still, she’s considered the pros and cons of streaming, questioning whether she should continue or not.

She stated; “I have thought about it — like, is it worth it? Do I feel like I deserve the harassment? No, I don’t think anyone does. But I do feel it’s worth it just to keep grinding while I’m young and have the energy, and then when I’m older and have saved enough money, I can actually do what I want with it.” That being said, Amouranth doesn’t agree with all the negative criticism she receives. In Amouranth’s opinion, enduring the negativity now will mean earning enough money to not have to worry about it in the future. She would have financial security if she decided to pursue another career.
