Valkyrae & Sykkuno React At Corpse Husband’s Poltergeist Song

Although the song has been well welcomed by fans and friends, Valkyrae and Sykkuno are perplexed by the lyrics.

Following his viral voice acting debut in Funimation’s Tribe Nine anime, Corpse Husband is re-entering the music world. ‘Poltergeist,’ a tune with Corpse’s signature deep vocals backed by a dark, trap-style beat, was uploaded on April 8 by the faceless influencer. 

The song has received a lot of love on social media, with people like streamer Karl Jacobs, Sykkuno, and others pushing it to their own fans… yet it appears that Sykkuno is confused about the lyrics.  

Sykkuno stated during a stream with Valkyrae, Corpse, and Miyoung that he had no idea what a “bando” was. He said; “The part with the ‘bando’ was really good, but I don’t know what a ‘bando’ is. But that part was really good.”

This made Corpse laugh as he joked; “Yeah, I agree.”

Valkyrae theen joined in stating; “The what?” before proceeding to listen to the song for herself, adding; “What is that?”

Sykkuno continued explaining; “There’s one part where he sings about it. I don’t know what any of it means, but it’s really good. He’s going in. I don’t know what he’s talking about, but you can tell he’s going in.”

The section of the song that Sykkuno is referring to is: “You’ve never seen a trap or a bando / Only time you pull the strap is when you’re wearin’ velcro”.

For those unfamiliar with the slang term, a “bando” is another name for an abandoned house, similar to a “trap,” or trap house, which is commonly utilized as a venue for illegal activities. According to a deleted tweet by Corpse Husband, Sykkuno’s wholesome ignorance over the term provided for a hilarious moment among the streamers… but this song is just one of many more to follow.
