Valkyrae Shares About Friendship With Sykkuno

During her stream on ‘National Sykkuno Day,’ popular streamer Rachell ‘Valkyrae’ Hofstetter explained how she met Sykkuno before he became famous.

Sykkuno has acquired a committed following of over four million followers on Twitch alone over the last few years. Every year on May 1, his community celebrates the streamer with ‘National Sykkuno Day.’Sykkuno may be found playing games and hanging out with other big-name content creators like 100T’s Valkyrae, Disguised Toast, and Corpse Husband as a member of the ‘Amigops.’But how did they meet in the first place? While it’s still unknown how Sykkuno came to know Disguised Toast and Corpse, Valkyrae claimed in a recent stream that the two became friends years before he became famous.

Valkyrae revealed on her May 1st stream that they had a nostalgic moment during Sykkuno’s live when the friend group joined a Minecraft server together.

She explained; “I was sobbing the whole time. That’s how Sykkuno and I met. We met on the OfflineTV Minecraft server three years ago. He was a wee lad. He was uWukuno. He was so timid, shy, and had no webcam. He only had about 200 viewers.”

She went on to detail their first meeting, which took place inside the OTV server. She said: “He had shot me instead of a skeleton and I just couldn’t get over his voice. I thought his voice was incredible and our friendship just blossomed from there.”

On May 1, Sykkuno fans swarmed Twitter with messages of encouragement and support for their beloved creator. According to the stats website Twitchtracker, the creator’s seven-hour stream had a significant increase in viewers, with over 30,000 turning in.
