Valkyrae Admits Mistake

Leslie Ann ‘Fuslie’ Fu’s reaction to a gas leak in their house was “dramatic,” according to Rachell ‘Valkyrae’ Hofstetter, who claimed she didn’t realize how dangerous it was.

On April 27, Rae stated that Fuslie had called 911 in the middle of the night because their Los Angeles home’s fire alarm had gone off. It wasn’t, however, due to a fire. Instead, it was due to a potentially hazardous gas leak.

Rae initially mistook the gas for carbon dioxide rather than carbon monoxide, which is less dangerous. Rae said she was “being dramatic” when she saw Fuslie crying out about it, but it turns out she was mistaken.

During her most recent stream, Rae recalled the circumstances and admitted to the mistake. She said; “For those of you who were not there, I told a story. In the story, I said carbon dioxide, but it was actually carbon monoxide. So many of you were pissed at me! People were pissed at me for the way I was very careless. I didn’t know how serious it was. I just want to make it clear that I did do my research, and I want to say thank you to the people who were kind in educating it. People were mad because I talked about Fuslie being dramatic. Trust me. She wasn’t bothered that I said that. So, you don’t need to be bothered for her. She didn’t take it the way some of you took it.”

She did, however, reiterate how wrong she was in the end. “I genuinely didn’t know how serious it was to have a carbon monoxide leak. But I learned, okay! I learned that carbon monoxide leaks are actually deadly.”

Rae also stated that she is “definitely kind of an airhead sometimes,” but she begged people to be nicer to her instead of flooding her with nasty comments when teaching and correcting her in instances like this.
