Vague Response To Hot Tub Stream Meta

Number one streaming platform, Twitch finally responded to the hot tub stream meta but they are now under fire for their vague response from the controversy.

It’s been a long time since Twitch decided to make a comment about the new meta called hot tub stream but many are surprised about their response because it is pretty vague and not exactly the people in the community expect and are looking for.

Recently, Twitch decided to stream and it is titled as “Let’s Chat”. The topic regarding the hot tub meta was suddenly brought up. Marcus Graham AKA djWheat is the one hosting the stream. He is the head of Creator Development at Twitch.

The main reason why Twitch decided to stream was for them to address the news around Twitch and any upcoming changes and features to their site but of course, the hot tub meta topic is impossible to ignore.

djWheat was asked by one of the viewers and he answered fairly vaguely. He said that the streaming platform understands that the new mera has been getting a lot of attention from the community lately and made assure that they are watching closely. He also talked about their nudity and attire policy and he said it allows streamers to wear bathing suits but of course in an appropriate context. djWheat made it clear that hot tubs do fall under that criteria.

However, djWheat explained that what has not changed is the sexually suggestive and explicit contents. He said that it is not allowed under the guidelines and the terms of service.

Many felt disappointed by Twitch’s response but some still defended them by saying that hot tub streams are okay as long as there’s no sexually suggestive content and if the user doesn’t like to watch one, then it’s their choice and if they think it;s against the rules, then report it.

As of now, hot tub streams are likely not going anywhere anytime. Twitch made it clear that they are closely watching these streams and if they find any rules that’ve been used, then they will make an immediate action.
