Twitch Star Pokimane Calls Out Ninja

Twitch star Pokimane is calling out Ninja for not clarifying a statement he made recently in which he claimed that he was “texting” his representative to have Jidion reinstated after he was banned for harassing Pokimane.

Imane ‘Pokimane’ Anys is one of Twitch’s most popular streamers, and the only woman in the Top 10 most popular streamers.

On January 13, however, Anys was the focus of a targeted harassment campaign by fellow streamer ‘Jidion,’ who sent his supporters to abuse her and her viewers. This saga has sparked a heated debate on social media, with other streamers stepping up to defend Pokimane.

Ninja and his wife, Jessica Blevins, a streaming celebrity, have since threatened legal action against Anys. This happened after Pokimane posted a video of Ninja allegedly calling his Twitch rep to reinstate Jidion, who had been permanently banned due to the incident, on the platform.

Ninja indicated in a now-deleted Tweet that he would clarify the polarizing show immediately after being called out for comment by his fans. Blevins, on the other hand, has yet to remark on the matter two days later, causing Pokimane to call him out.

During a stream on January 19th, she remarked; “I thought it was kind of interesting that Ninja was like, ‘Everything will be clarified. And then he woke up the next day and played Fortnite for 7 hours. And then he woke up the day after that, and is probably gonna play Fortnite for another 7 hours. So I’m like, were you gonna say something?”

Ninja’s Tweet, in which he promised to clarify the matter, was removed, according to Pokimane. Pokimane added; “Ninja probably noticed, ‘Oh my god, Jidion’s viewers are the same people who watch me play Fortnite. I can’t upset them! I can’t stand up against misogyny. That could kill my brand!’ Or some s**t. He’s afraid of the repercussions for standing up against hate raiding and misogyny. That’s the baseline, bro. The bar is on the ground, and you can’t step over it!”

That’s not all; days after the original hate raid, Anys continues to be harassed by Jidion’s fans.

By posting a huge list of incidents that have occurred since the first raid, the streamer responded to critics who accused her of exaggerating the situation.

Prior to the raid, Anys noted that Jidion had tweeted “negative/hateful things” about her, accusing him of making “extreme sexual comments” about her to his followers. She also reminded critics that it wasn’t only her that was being bullied; Jidion’s fans were allegedly tormenting her viewers by “messaging my subs and harassing them, telling them to **** themselves, calling them slurs, etc.”

Jidion’s fans continue to “spam” her social media accounts, according to Pokimane, who posted a screenshot of her Instagram DM requests, which revealed a barrage of abusive comments from a variety of identities. As the situation unfolds, Anys continues to receive a flood of support from her fans and other streamers.
