Twitch Partners Banned

Streaming platform giant Twitch is in the middle of the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA) controversy, with even some top streamers getting banned or receiving takedown notices due to music playing. Things are going from bad to worse now, as several Twitch Partners have reportedly been banned for copyright infringement, playing Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity hours after it was released as Nintendo reportedly issued DMCA notices.

To make things even more confusing, these Twitch streamers had legitimate copies of Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity, as they were able to purchase the game in a store.

To make things clear, Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity released on November 20th worldwide. Gamers in Australia, Japan and Europe were able to purchase their copies a bit earlier, so there’s a grey area to consider.

A few decorations couldn’t hold on to play through Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity with their fans, and as such played the game live when it was delivered in Australia and Japan. Nonetheless, a large number of makers have gotten boycotts for playing the game despite the fact that it is as of now accessible in certain nations. At any rate, six of Twitch’s collaborated decorations have gotten a 48-hour boycott for streaming the game in front of its Western delivery, including Reversal, MissKylie, and Linkus7. Every decoration posted on Twitter that they received sees for their boycotts which guarantees they were real time with an “unreleased computer game”, regardless of all decorations possessing a legitimate duplicate of the game.
