Trainwrecks Wins $8.75 million

Tyler ‘TrainwrecksTV’ Niknam, a Twitch streamer, is unquestionably the most popular gambling streamer on the internet, having won a life-changing sum of money during one livestream. But, after the major win, he issued a caution to streamers and viewers.

On Twitch, the word “train” has come to mean “gambling.” He wins large, but he also loses big, as he admits. He revealed in January 2022 that he had lost roughly $12 million due to gambling. Train frequently warns viewers against gambling, including adding a warning on his video overlay, but you’ll regularly see him playing high-stakes games with friends. He’s had a number of big wins in the past, but he was taken aback when he almost hit the jackpot during a February 10th stream, raking in an incredible $8.75 million in one go, a figure that is practically inconceivable to most.

Train was quick to give his customary “Don’t gamble” lecture to anyone watching at the time after yelling and repeating “Oh my god” in total shock at the incredible gain.

In the clip he plays after each big win, he says, “I am losing, you understand, I am down millions.” He then tells his audience to “please don’t be stupid, don’t be stupid. The way I gamble, even with the Bitcoin I made, with the money I’ve made on Twitch, it is not doable or sustainable, unless you’re a large streamer that can get paid. You will lose every time.”

Just a week before this tape, Train spoke about the money he’s made from his gambling streams. He said that his relationship with the gaming company pays him “much more” than $1 million per month, with estimates putting it at about $5 million per month.

Needless to say, a $8.75 million win would help Train make up for some of his losses.
