Trainwrecks’ Thoughts On Gambling On Twitch

Given that there are several ways to circumvent Twitch’s ban on gambling streams, streaming celebrity Trainwreck thinks “nothing is going to change.”

Despite having a home and specific categories on Twitch, gambling has always been a somewhat divisive subject considering that the audience there tends to be on the younger side of things. There have been numerous calls for a crackdown on the streams, with one streamer even calling for a complete ban on everything from in-game loot boxes to virtual casino games. Some of these requests have been granted, as Twitch has banned some well-known cryptocurrency gaming companies that have collaborated with well-known figures. Trainwreck, though, is of the opinion that nothing much will alter on the platform.

The Twitch star mentioned it during his live on October 5th and implied that other streamers were envious of individuals who had worked with the now-banned websites. The streamer claimed; “I was looking at these sites, they use the same providers, the same providers that H3H3 and all these other ones attacked, they use the same ones. They have Pragmatic (games provider), they have all of them. So not much is going to change. You know, I was sitting here tripping and shit, but nothing is going to change at all.”

As previously said, Twitch has blacklisted particular websites like Stake; nevertheless, gambling streams are still available on the website on those that are not listed as being banned. Even while these additional websites may employ the same admins as the already banned ones, the latter are not registered in some nations, such as the United States, and have partnered with streamers.

It is unclear whether streamers will simply be able to move their collaborations to other websites to avoid the crackdown, if they will sign new agreements, or if Twitch will continue to enforce the new limits.
