Trainwrecks And NICKMERCS Debate

Trainwrecks And NICKMERCS Debate

Twitch streamer Trainwrecks, much to the amazement of others, has evidently built a damning argument in the never-ending controller vs. mouse and keyboard debate.

After seeing Nicholas “Nickmercs” Kolcheff’s grandmother take up a controller and score a kill in the most unusual way possible, he seemed persuaded who the actual winner of the debate was. After making a weird but obviously true remark on his Twitter account earlier today, Trainwreck has declared that the controller wins in his book. Nickmercs’ grandmother allegedly picked up a controller and killed a training dummy while playing Apex Legends while facing the wrong monitor, according to the livestream. Nickmercs replied to the tweet in a cryptic manner, presumably admitting the act.

While it may appear impossible, many FPS games use a gentle auto-aim mechanic to make shooting easier for those who play with controllers. It’s supposed to assist put controller players on an even playing field with mouse and keyboard gamers. If Nickmercs’ grandmother was already aiming close enough to the dummy, it’s likely that the aim was altered enough for her to hit it dead on with this mechanic.

Nickmercs and Trainwreck have known each other for a long time.Earlier this year, the former hosted an Apex Legends tournament sponsored by Electronic Arts (EA).   Trainwreck was meant to take part, but he was turned down due to his “gambling streams,” according to him. Nickmercs later explained that the EA representative who notified him didn’t give him a precise reason, but that he suspected it was because of the gambling broadcasts that Trainwreck routinely participates in.

Regardless, as indicated by their Twitter interactions earlier today, the two are still on good terms. They are supposed to be quite close and frequently pull each other’s legs. Trainwreck is a notable Twitch gambling streamer, and Nickmercs is a popular Twitch streamer and co-owner of the esports and gaming team FaZe Clan.
