Tommey Absurd 64-Kills

Top-tier Call of Duty: Warzone pro Tommey recently racked up a mind-boggling 64 kills in Quads. And it’s proof of what talent can achieve when it’s combined with selfless teamwork.

Warzone has been available since March 2020, and it’s becoming increasingly rare to see world records broken this late in the game. However, Thomas Trewren AKA ‘Tommey’ has made his mark just weeks before the release of the new Pacific: Caldera map.

Tommey has set a new world record for individual kills in a game of Quads with 64 kills. While it’s difficult to confirm that this is the official record, it’s still an incredible performance.

Although most people won’t be able to match Tom’s performance, there is something to be learned from it. With a challenge to get 30 kills for 30 gifted Twitch subs, the streamer’s team went all out to help him rack up kills — and their strategies could help your squads set kill PRs as well.

He was in fine form in this match shooting down a moving helicopter with the EM2, avoiding gunfire, and using his Combat Bow. He obviously dressed up as a Verdansk demon for Halloween.

Tommey’s EM2 and OTs 9 simply destroyed an unprepared lobby throughout the match. Despite the fact that he would have hit 40+ on his own, his teammates were extremely supportive.

To see how he and his team pulled off the big win, watch the full match VOD (starting at 1:33:32), but here are some general pointers.

To begin with, everyone tried to avoid taking too many kills themselves, knowing that Tommey needed a big game. Instead, they’d call out enemies, live-ping them, and chip away at their armor so Tom could get easier downs.

The squad also made sure Tom had a vehicle on hand and a UAV in the sky at all times. Then one or two would spread out to find enemies beyond Tommey’s range, occasionally suppressing fire to trap the foes for easier kills once he arrived.

Finally, they provided assistance during engagements. The entire team was dedicated to helping Tom get kills by distracting him with vehicles, baiting him by running around, and clearing buildings to find campers. Oh, and they got his finishes as well, saving time.

Overall, the massive game required a lot of skill, teamwork, and the good fortune of a bot lobby (a 0.77, per WZStats). But it’s the rest of us who will find that teamwork fascinating, as it demonstrates how you can assist your teammates in setting new personal records, and vice versa.
