TimTheTatman Taking On DMCA Twitch Bans

Timothy Jon Betar aka TimTheTatman is a popular American twitch streamer and an internet personality. He has over 6 million followers on the platform. Amidst the still ongoing DMCA takedown on twitch, TimTheTatman bravely watched a Twitch VOD from a popular musician known as SethDrums. It seems like TimTheTatman has simply finished caring about the whole situation regarding the twitch DMCA. For the past few months, DMCA has changed a lot of channels of some streamers as streamers are forced to listen to non-copyrighted music whenever they’re live.

Some streamers unfortunately received a ban for simply having a licensed song in a years-old VOD. Because of this, many were forced to delete their past VOD’s memories to avoid getting banned on the platform. However, TimTheTatman was completely different from them as he stated he would welcome a ban from the platform. He did watch a Twitch VOD from SethDrums. Upon hearing the music, TimTheTatman immediately closed the VOD and started to rant regarding the whole DMCA issue. He stated during the stream; “Listen man, if I get banned, I’m going to the beach. I’ve been on this platform for eight years. I’ve been listening to music pretty normally for about seven years… If I get banned, I’m banned, whatever. I’ll invest my money, going to the beach.”

Looks like he had his plan all figured out. But then because of his rant, some questions were raised about the DMCA issue like ‘would twitch allow one of its biggest streamers who also has a massive contract on the platform to be banned permanently’?
