TimTheTatman Shares Thoughts Of Verdansk

TimTheTatman has suggested that Infinity Ward, who are working on Warzone 2, take a page from Apex Legends and make every past battle royale map available in playlists rather than destroying them once the yearly cycle is complete.

At the moment, Warzone only plays one map at a time. The CoD combat royale began in Verdansk, before moving to the tropical paradise of Caldera in the second chapter. TimTheTatman thinks it’s past time to fix that. The Call of Duty battle royale has a propensity of taking features from arch-rival Apex Legends, according to the YouTube streamer, and should consider one more: rotating playlists for Verdansk, Caldera, and any future battlefields.

He remarked, “I really wish they’d bring Verdansk back in Warzone 2. Like in Apex, that game rotates maps via these playlists [and every season]. You can play either map.”

Players would then have access to any map they like, much like in Apex. When Verdansk’s cityscapes rotate in, those who enjoy them can play. Fans of the Caldera can do the same. The main issue, according to TimTheTatman, is Infinity Ward’s desire to port them over. He doesn’t hold out much hope for that. He said; “Are they going to? If I had to guess, they probably won’t. I hope they do. That said, they did listen to us about Verdansk being too dark. They listened and now we’re on this tropical island called Caldera, which everyone hates and complains about! Maybe they ignore us [next time].”

TimTheTatman is already thinking about Warzone 2’s upcoming 2023 map, which will arrive with the battle royale sequel, on top of his Verdansk and Caldera fantasies. According to rumors, it will be inspired by the forthcoming Modern Warfare 2 remake, which will be released around the same time.

He further stated; “Can you imagine in Warzone 2 if the map we get, you jump out in the open and rotate to these old maps? Highrise, Terminal, Favela, Afghan, Rust, Derail, boy I love Derail. Scrapyard, Wasteland, Skidrow. Just imagine, you fly down, hit Favela. Then you drive off through Rust. And all of a sudden you’re in Terminal. I cannot express the joy that would give me.”

The development of Warzone 2 has been approved, but things at Infinity Ward are just getting started. The 2023 follow-up is largely unknown. The sequel is likely to be tied to Modern Warfare 2 at least in part.
