Tiffae’s Advice

Tiffae, a Team Liquid streamer, has urged VALORANT players with low Elo to avoid filling during Agent selection and instead play Agents with which they are most familiar.

Tiffae has started mentoring members of her VALORANT group who are struggling to rise out of lower Elo. Tiffae addressed her TikTok audience as “stuck in low Elo” in VALORANT, which she defined as everyone from Iron to Gold. She advised players to avoid loading up during ranking games and instead focus on Agents they enjoy.

Agents in VALORANT are divided into four classes: Duelists, who are supposed to be on the front lines and do the most damage, Sentinels, who are supposed to lurk in the background and support the team, Initiators, who are supposed to help the Duelists and others get into a site, and Controllers, who are supposed to keep things under control wherever their teammates are. Each class has its own style of play, which is determined by the player’s preferences. When a participant enters a game, he or she decides to pick whatever their team requires to win. When a Sentinel or Initiator is missing, anyone trying to fill the void will play whatever is required.

Tiffae said; “Do not fill in your ranks. Why? Because if you fill you are not super comfortable on your Agent and you’re literally playing half-ass because you don’t know how to play your Agent as well as your main.”

Tiffae went on to remark that in-game, rather than in Agent choose, it’s best to be a team player. This means that while it is beneficial to play as a group, it is preferable to learn how to play one or two Agents and become proficient with them initially. As players’ Elo levels rise, they will be less reliant on knowing what one individual Agent accomplishes.
